College brings a touch of Broadway to town

Students from Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) will be taking part in an exclusive master class provided by a top Broadway and West End star.

Musical Theatre star Kerry Ellis will be providing a Theatre Master Class to Performing Arts students in the College’s 200-seat Auditorium on Tuesday 15 January at the College’s main campus on Knutton Lane.

In addition Kerry will be taking part in a Questions and Answers session with the students, where they will be able to gain an insight of how to pursue a career in the performing arts industry.

Kerry is best known for her award-winning roles in the Musical’s We Will Rock You and Wicked.  She has stared in a number of Broadway and West End Musicals including My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, Oliver! and Les Miserables.

Kerry is fast becoming recognized as the First Lady of the West End, and has also achieved chart-topping success as a recording artist performing at Wembley Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall alongside Josh Groban and Queen legend Brian May.

NULC currently provides a range of performing arts courses including A Level Drama and Theatre Studies and the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts
